Massage, wellbeing and loving life.
Monday, July 18, 2016"When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
The first time I heard that infamous quote by John Lennon, I was slightly confused and incredibly inspired. The first thought that ran through my mind was, 'What a rebel!'. His lateral thinking made so much sense and was so simple, and yet it was an answer I had never thought to give when asked that question. I, like most others, automatically thought of the career I was going to pave for myself after going through school. At that point I was going to be an actress. Unlike my peers who were thinking of going to uni once they'd done their A-Levels, I was going to drama school. But life inevitably got in the way. I dropped out of college, started working, and carried on taking acting classes when I could. By the time I was 18 and applying for drama school I no longer had the support of my old theatre school, and my confidence levels dropped. By the time I had found the support I needed from a wonderful amateur theatre, The Questors in Ealing Broadway, I had a job giving Indian Head Massage at events and exhibitions and I fell utterly in love with it.
Am I happy? Yes. I didn't choose this path, but I wouldn't change it.
I think everyone has the opportunity to truly and deeply enjoy life, to be happy. Sometimes the choices that take us there are difficult, uncomfortable, and can be painful, but it is our responsibility to make the changes in our lives that will take us to where we want to be. This is where O-Wellbeing comes in. I created O as a place to help people reach their potential within, to learn to unlock the happiness inside of them. Through tutorials and ideas of small daily changes, inspiring pictures and videos, and massages in the forest, I hope that I can bring a bit of happiness to your life.
I encourage you to comment and give feedback, please vocalise what you are interested in reading, watching and learning.
